Zola was always up for exploring more of Mauville. coming from the city itself, she had spent many days romping around both Old and New. today would take her back to where, ironically, she had captured her Pikachu. "remember this place, Ion?" she says to him. the electric mouse on her shoulder puffed up.

he had been nothing but a Pichu, abandoned here alone. Zola saved him from dying a slow and painful death. often bullied by the stronger electric-types here, he was starving when she came upon him. they formed a bond that day, girl and her mouse. "yeah, I don't blame you" she chuckles, noticing the person ahead of them.

she lifts a hand. "hello! are you looking for Pokemon too? want some company?"

"thanks" she grins, meaning it. the whole thing wasn't uncommon in this location but she hadn't seen a fully grown Aggron in a long time. the wolf took down the Pokémon easily. Zola whistles, while Ion looks around and alert "yeah, we're fine." it'd take more than that to put her down. or even surprise her good.

"Zola Abara" she adds, extending a hand to the young lady "this is Ion" her free hand jerked a thumb at the quivering Pikachu. he would jump off her shoulder and race away "Ion -" she was going to scold him for being anti-social but he came back with a present. electricity sparked from the Emolga as it fainted.

apparently the Pikachu didn't want to be outshone by the wolf. "good job, buddy" Zola says, tapping a Pokeball to the Emolga's head.

she grins further at Genesis' compliment. "no worries" Zola would say to the admittance that the woman didn't give her Pokémon names "you do you. I give mine names because they want one" she gestured to the Pikachu "Ion was my first Pokémon; I found him here. at the time I was young, so I thought it was a good idea to call him 'Sparky'. but he pointed out a name in an electrical pamphlet one day; Ion stuck."

as for what she was looking for...

"electric types" was an easy admission, eyeballing the Electrike from the corner of her eye. Ion didn't need to be told, he shot at the other Pokémon and effectively fainted it "it seems like there's no short supply of them here" she chuckles, taking a spare Pokeball from her bag and tapping the Electrike this time "but it's better with company, yeah? I don't have to carry a one-sided conversation. Ion is a bit quiet for a Pikachu."

"those are some good types" Zola praised "I do like steel types too, but that's because some of them are electric too" she chuckles "and I guess fighting and psychic. but I work a lot with electronics, and I've lived in Mauville all my life - so I guess I'm a sucker for electricity."

to each their own. she did like ghost types for Analog's sake; the Rotom was a trusted partner as well. Zola was quiet as the Lycanroc took down the offending wild Pokemon, turning to glance at the Shinx when Genesis mentioned it. "thanks" she adds, ordering Ion to attack. the Pikachu was quick to make short work of the weaker Pokemon.

Zola tossed her Pokeball at it, hoping for an easy capture.

it was a relative easy day to capture Pokemon. Zola knew coming here was a good thing, like all the other times she explored the place as a kid. "I do like Charjabug" she smirks, readying a Pokeball as Ion zipped toward the electric-type. he beat it back easily, showing his strength as impressively as possible. he was Zola's first Pokemon, after all. he had experience.

a few sparks flew but otherwise it was by the book capture. she tossed a Pokeball at the fallen insect, turning to Genesis as she continues to speak. "I can always get them delivered to us" she offers "I set up a neat little delivery drone to the Mauville PokeMart, so they use it all the time - at least I do." it wasn't a brag though. 

"but you're right" she comments "if we keep hitting gold here, we'll run out sooner or later."
